High Silica Fiber

High silica fiber is a high-performance glass fiber made from quartz sand (SiO₂) as the main raw material through special processes such as melt spinning, acid leaching for alkali removal, and high-temperature sintering. Its core feature is an extremely high silicon content (usually ≥96%). It combines excellent high-temperature resistance (long-term temperature resistance of 1000-1200℃, up to 1700℃ for short periods) and superior thermal insulation properties. It is widely used in extreme high-temperature scenarios such as aerospace, industrial high-temperature protection, and fire prevention and extinguishing. It is a high-end high-temperature resistant material that cannot be replaced by traditional glass fibers (with a silicon content of approximately 50%-60%).
